Introduction
This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on tickets purchased through the Tixket platform. We understand that circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending an event, and we aim to provide clear guidelines on when and how refunds are processed.
Please note that while Tixket facilitates the refund process, refund policies are primarily set by event organizers. This document outlines our general refund framework, but specific events may have different terms as specified on their event pages.
Event Cancellations
If an event is cancelled by the organizer, you will be eligible for a full refund of the ticket price, including all fees except for payment processing fees (typically 2-3% of the transaction). Refunds for cancelled events will be processed automatically within 10 business days of the cancellation announcement.
You will receive a notification via email when an event is cancelled, and you can also check the status of your refund in your Tixket account.
Event Postponements or Rescheduling
If an event is postponed or rescheduled:
- Your tickets will automatically be valid for the new date.
- If you cannot attend on the new date, you may be eligible for a refund, depending on the organizer's policy.
- Refund requests for postponed events must be submitted within 14 days of the postponement announcement.
To request a refund for a postponed event, log into your Tixket account, navigate to "My Tickets," and select the "Request Refund" option for the relevant event.
Significant Changes to an Event
If there are significant changes to an event (such as venue change, major lineup changes, etc.), refunds may be available at the discretion of the event organizer. Tixket will notify ticket holders of any significant changes and provide information about refund eligibility.
Voluntary Refund Requests
Requests for refunds due to personal circumstances (inability to attend, change of plans, etc.) are subject to the specific refund policy set by the event organizer. Generally:
- Flexible Refund Policy: Some events allow refunds up to a certain date before the event (typically 7-14 days).
- No Refund Policy: Some events do not offer refunds for voluntary cancellations but may allow ticket transfers.
- Partial Refund Policy: Some events may offer partial refunds, with the percentage refunded decreasing as the event date approaches.
The specific refund policy for each event is clearly displayed on the event page before purchase.
Refund Process and Timeframe
When a refund is approved:
- The refund will be processed back to the original payment method used for the purchase.
- Processing time is typically 5-10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
- You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally non-refundable:
- Payment processing fees (typically 2-3% of the transaction)
- Shipping fees for physical tickets (if applicable)
- Insurance purchased for tickets (subject to the insurance provider's terms)
Ticket Insurance
Tixket offers optional ticket insurance at checkout for many events. This insurance may provide coverage for circumstances not covered by our standard refund policy, such as illness, travel delays, or other personal emergencies.
Ticket insurance claims are handled directly by our insurance partner and are subject to their terms and conditions, which are provided at the time of insurance purchase.
Fraudulent Purchases
Tickets purchased fraudulently will be cancelled, and no refund will be issued. Tixket reserves the right to cancel tickets and withhold refunds if fraud is suspected.
